City Brew Coffee

The structure prominently demarks one of two entrance gateway streets into a new business park adjacent to a major loop highway that encircles the southern edge of the city at the base of the mountain. The building orientation carefully took into consideration the strong prevailing winds of the area, while allowing views of Casper Mountain from the interior and from exterior patio spaces.

Budget and speed of erection time dictated the pre-engineered metal building structure, which is rendered to be unrecognizable with a clean modern look on the exterior. Fenestration dominates the façades of the customer area allowing sweeping views of the mountain and surrounding area while the interior is flooded with natural light omitting the need for artificial lighting for much of the day. The warm glowing lights of the interior thru the windows also serves as a beacon lantern for motorists on the highway during early morning and evening hours.

The interior offers a quaint coffee shop feel through the use of warm interior colors, wood panels and earthen colored polished concrete floors at high traffic areas - all juxtaposed against exposed ceiling structure, ductwork and metallic grille ceiling for an edgy modern look. The serpentine counter and seat wall divides the seating area and mediates the strong geometries of the space to complete the contemporary look.
